🎯

Annotation Overlay

🖥️

Multi-Page Whiteboard

A full floating whiteboard with multi-page support, sidebar thumbnails, export to PNG/PDF, zoom, background colors, and save/load .sswb files.

💾

Autosave (Experimental)

Annotations and whiteboard data saved per URL in Chrome storage. Blacklist URL patterns to exclude specific sites. Auto-restore when revisiting a page.

📐

Toolbar Layout Editor

Built-in presets (Default, Minimal, Drawing, Compact), custom drag-and-drop groups with Inline or Flyout modes. Works for both annotation and whiteboard toolbars.

🌐

Works Everywhere

Injects on http://, https://, and file:// pages. No sign-up. No servers. No tracking. Chrome MV3 + Firefox build available.

🔒

100% Private

No accounts. No servers. No tracking. Everything stays in your browser — layout, settings, and annotations never leave your device.

Partial Eraser, Undo/Redo, Color Picker & More.

v1.4 adds a stroke-split partial eraser, full multi-level undo/redo, a custom color picker, plus all v1.3 features (autosave, layout editor, Firefox, multi-page whiteboard).

🧹

Partial Eraser (Stroke-Split)

Erase through strokes without deleting entire annotations — the eraser splits strokes at the erasure point.

  • Erase through any stroke — pen, highlighter, shapes
  • Stroke-split: remaining parts stay editable
  • Adjustable eraser size with preview circle
  • Works on both annotation overlay and whiteboard
↩️

Multi-Level Undo / Redo

Full undo/redo history for annotations — undo individual strokes or batch actions.

  • Unlimited undo levels per session
  • Redo support — dedicated button in toolbar
  • Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+Z (undo), Ctrl+Shift+Z (redo)
  • Fixed: double Ctrl+Z behavior in v1.4.4
🎨

Custom Color Picker

Choose any color beyond the 7 preset swatches — full spectrum color picker for pen, highlighter, and shapes.

  • Full spectrum color picker with hex input
  • Works with all drawing tools
  • Seamless integration with existing swatch system
  • Persistent — last custom color remembered
💾

Autosave (Experimental)

Annotations and whiteboard data persist across visits — saved per URL in Chrome storage.

  • Auto-restore annotations when revisiting a page
  • Blacklist URL patterns to exclude sites
  • Saved sites list in popup — open or delete
  • Toggle on/off from the popup menu
📐

Toolbar Layout Editor

Fully customize both the annotation toolbar and whiteboard toolbar from the popup:

  • Built-in presets: Default, Minimal, Drawing, Compact
  • Custom groups with drag-and-drop tool arrangement
  • Inline / Flyout group modes
  • Separate layouts for annotate and whiteboard toolbars
  • 💾 Apply instantly — no reload needed
🦊

Firefox Build

Self-Annotate now ships as a Firefox add-on alongside the Chrome MV3 extension.

  • Download the Firefox ZIP from the releases page
  • Load as Temporary Add-on via about:debugging
  • Full feature parity with Chrome version
  • Works on http://, https://, and file:// pages
🖥️

Improved Multi-Page Whiteboard

The floating whiteboard gets smarter with better page management and export options.

  • Multi-page: add, navigate, delete with sidebar thumbnails
  • Export current page as PNG, all pages as PDF
  • Background color picker (Grey, White, Dark, Yellow, Green)
  • Zoom, fullscreen, minimize, resize
  • Save/load .sswb files for later editing
  • Standalone whiteboard tab via popup
🛠️

Toolbar Presets System

Quickly switch between toolbar configurations with built-in presets.

  • 4 presets: Default, Minimal, Drawing, Compact
  • Separate preset selection for Annotate vs Whiteboard
  • Custom presets saved automatically to your layout
  • Each preset can be further customized in the editor
🎨

Refined UI & UX

Quality-of-life improvements across the board.

  • Draggable toolbar with position memory across pages
  • Custom layout via popup editor
  • Permanent ON/OFF toggle — auto-injects everywhere
  • Ctrl+Z undo support
  • Scroll Mode to temporarily disable drawing
  • English / বাংলা bilingual interface
